A young, charming patient visited the clinic, wishing to make her facial features softer and more harmonious. The main reason for her aesthetic discomfort was her profile: a prominent hump and a slightly droopy, insufficiently refined nasal tip added excessive severity to her face, distracting attention from her beautiful eyes.
Initial Anatomical Features
During a detailed examination of the “Before” photos, I diagnosed a pronounced deformation of the osteocartilaginous nasal dorsum (the hump itself), as well as insufficient rotation of the tip — it pointed downwards, visually lengthening the nose and weighing down the lower third of the face. In the frontal view, the dorsum and the tip appeared overly wide. The patient’s skin had normal density, which, on one hand, allowed for a beautiful outline of the contour, but on the other hand, demanded jewelry-like precision from me when modeling the cartilaginous framework to avoid the slightest irregularities in the future.
Course of the Operation
My main task was not just to remove excess volume, but to create perfect, natural proportions that would fit perfectly into the architecture of this specific face. During the surgery, I performed a careful reduction of the nasal dorsum, gently eliminating the hump and forming a straight, aesthetically flawless profile line. I paid special attention to the tip of the nose: through complex work with the lower lateral cartilages, I managed to narrow it, strengthen the support, and set the correct rotation (lift it slightly). Naturally, functional work was carried out simultaneously to ensure perfect nasal breathing.
Result
In the “After” shots, we see a stunning result of this transformation. The profile has become truly feminine, light, and graceful. The straight dorsum with a smooth transition into a neatly contoured, slightly upturned tip has fundamentally changed the perception of the face — it began to look more open, fresh, and young. The patient is delighted with her new reflection in the mirror, and for me, the best reward is seeing how absolute self-confidence comes to my patients along with a beautiful nose. As we joked at the end: the girl’s eyes are her mother’s, but the perfect nose is already by Georgy Yuryevich.
